it’s a zip file. I open it, save it to DEVONthink and does not open
If you open it, it’s no longer a zip file. Looks like an executable to me. If you’d provide some less terse description of what you did exactly, we might be able to help. With this rudimentary post … hardly

.ZIP files can be stored in a database, but not used.
I am not a tech person per se, so I do not know why it does not open for me to retrieve the information.
What makes you think that you can download an arbitrary ZIP, unpack it into DT and then open whatever you unpacked from there? And why don’t you tell us what you did? An image might be worth a thousand words, but an image without any context at all doesn’t help here.

As I mentioned, you can store .ZIP files in a DEVONthink database but you can’t do anything with them except store them.

To complete this, if you install BetterZip app in your Mac (and perhaps others), you can see the content of the compressed files inside DT. But, of course, you can’t unzip it, only see the content, as it seems BetterZip installs a Preview filter.
