Hello all
Is there any way to make DEVONthink to ignore certain file types (or name patterns) when indexing folders?
(What I am trying to do is to have a fixed folder where I compile all my LaTeX files, and get DEVONthink to index that folder to an Inbox, so that I copy later those files to an specific point in the library, but I don’t want to get flooded by auxiliary log files. Maybe there is even a better way of doing this I haven’t think of, so I also welcome suggestions)
That’s not possible.
Not the answer I was looking for, but clear and quick, so it will save me time of looking around how to do it.

You could index as now and then have a smart group that filters the file types you are interested in, then work from the smart group?
My approach to the issue was (and I say was because I no longer have anything indexed) to have two folders in my file path, both with the same name, but adding “(not indexed)” to the one I don’t want indexed, and indexing the other. For Finder purposes, searching for files isn’t a problem, although it does require a bit of discipline to know what’s where when I access it manually.
