Images not showing in search results on DTTG

I can’t tell if I’m just flat out missing something silly, but I can not figure out what my problem here is… If I search for an image name, I am never able to find it on DevonThink To Go (latest App Store version & also Test Flight build).

For example…

If I create two files…

qqtesttext (a blank text file)
qqtestimage (a JPG image)

then I search for “qqtest”… I only ever get qqtesttext as a result. I can NEVER find qqtestimage in search on DevonThink To Go. Both files are in the same group and I am searching in “All Databases”. Wildcards or the full image name makes no difference.

It comes up fine on DevonThink 3.0 on the Mac, but never on mobile.

Any advice? Is this a mobile bug?

If you can’t find items in a search in DEVONthink To Go, select Help > Appendix > URL Commands > Performing Service Tasks and click the Execute link under reindex .

Thanks, this did get the image showing in search. Seems like there is still an indexing bug though.

Create a new empty text file on Mac, sync it to DTTG, the item is instantly searchable by title without reindexing

Create a new image on Mac, sync it to DTTG, the item is only searchable after forcing a manual reindex

This will get me going, but I’d love to see those images updated in the index right when its added to DTTG :slight_smile:
