Currently, the ‘Clip to DEVONthink’ extension only supports Portrait orientation for content imported as PDF.
It would be very useful to be able to import in Landscape (horizontal) orientation.
When I specifically want Landscape for something, I simply use the “Print to DEVONthink” in the macOS print dialog box. Other ways to control the PDF are also there.
