Import files from ZIP archive

I got a lot of documents in ZIP archives and I would like to extract them into the DT. For the archive manipulation, I am using Entropy application.

When I open a ZIP file in Entropy and try to drag&drop document(s) into a DT group, the copy process is obviously running, however, nothing appears in the target folder. When I repeat the drag&drop copy, Entropy reclaims duplicate files in .../Database/TemporaryItems/Capture. It looks like the temporary folder is the final destination and DT does not move them into the target.

My question: can I extract the archive (ZIP) content directly into a DT Group folder?

I don’t know exactly nothing about Entropy but when you have to handle so many zip files you might want to a look at Hazel.

It is a super handy folder action app that can automatized unzip zip files (but to my knowledge zip files only and no other package formats), move and tag them, and much more.

No, this is not possible to do. You can ZIP and import after decompression.
