In DT2, I would hit SCAN on my Scansnap and the doc would go into my inbox.
With DT 3.6.1 I am presented with this screen for EVERY SCAN, so I have to hit “OK” every time.
Is it poss. to scan and have it go straight into DT and avoid this extra step?

I thought I was told specifically to NEVER use the Global Inbox, but always specify which Database Inbox the scans go into.
I had read that choosing the Global Inbox causes problems.
Am I wrong? (I very well could be – I’m wrong often!)

Yes, that is true… but that refers to the settings in the ScanSnap profile. The Save to setting should be left at the default location suggested by the ScanSnap software or the ~/Pictures folder.
The Preferences > Import > Destination setting refers to where DEVONthink should put incoming items.
Two very different settings.

I’ve been a novice user of DT since 2011, and LOVE it. Our entire office is paperless – everything in DT. It has made life SO MUCH BETTER.
