Improved drag + drop experience on iPadOS

Sometimes I like to / need to use split view on iPadOS to organize my files. And then maybe it looks like this:

In this situation, if I let go of the drag, what do you think will happen?
The answer is, that the “My example” file will be moved to “A group”, the first group on the right. I think this is counterintuitive and certainly not what I want to do. I know that if I wanted to move it there, I could hover over “A group”, it would be highlighted and if I hover for longer, it would enter that group and I could drop there.

My point is that I want to drop it into “Example target”, the top level group that is currently open. I can do that by dropping the file down below with the other markdown file “A text”. Now realistically, my group will look like this:

and then the only way to drop the file right there in “Example target” is to hover over “Eingang” to go back and then drop it into the group, but fast, if you hover too long you enter “Example target” again, or somehow manage to scroll down while still holding onto the “My example” file.

I want to propse the improvement that the top area where the big name of the currently open group is, should be a drop zone for that group and not the first group from the list.

The request is noted, with no promises.
