Indexed file property that indicates "missing"?

I have quite a number of missing indexed files in my DTPO3 database. This is by my own doing; they sit alongside the properly indexed file.

My job now is to visually verify that the missing files are just duplicate-ish naming of the real files and send them off to the great beyond.

I can visually identify the missing files by their generic thumbnail and be pretty sure that the similarly named file is good via a real image in the thumbnail. The problem is that the missing files are in a lot of groups, and I’m too lazy to do all that clicking . I was hoping that there would be a property in the Inspector I could look at (and use for a Smart Group) that would identify the linked file as missing.

File > Verify Database logs all missing files to Window > Log, afterwards you could use the contextual menu to reveal or trash them.

Thanks for the reply, @cgrunenberg. I was hoping there was a less click-intensive way; There are 241 files missing in quite a number of groups :open_mouth:

I’d say the more important question is: why did they go missing?

@BLUEFROG, as usual, brilliant! I did some reorganization of the indexed files in the Finder that I had completely forgotten about. Once your question prompted me to remember that, I just reindex all the files in the larger group and poof, the problem was gone. Thank you!
