Indexed Folder seems broken

Hello,
I have the following indexed folder with a broken cloud icon such as the following picture:

How can I repair a broken folder index? The files within the folder can be accessed and viewed, but Update Items Command do not update the folder with new files, removed files, new group and so on. What can be done without having to reindex the folder again? Can i go under the hood?
Thank you!

Welcome @Btasatus
That icon doesn’t indicate anything is broken. It shows the contents are unavailable, e.g., not downloaded.

  • What version of macOS and DEVONthink are you running?
  • Where is the indexed Finder folder?
    • Is this folder set to be available on this Mac?
  • Is this a second Mac or the machine on which you initially indexed the folder?

Thanks for the welcoming and the kind reply.

  • I’m running macOS 15.7.2 and DEVONthink 4.1.1
  • The indexed Folder is on Synology Drive, the files also currently indexed are not downloaded but can be read by DEVONthink and are displayed correctly by the reader.
  • Yes, it’s a second Mac, was indexing correctly at the beginning since I’ve managed to make both path the same.
  • Synchronisation is running well through WebDav (also on Synology NAS) with both mac and mobile devices running Dt to go 4.0 latest build
  • On Synology drive I have Folder A, File 01, New File 02. On DEVONthink I have Folder A, File 01. New File 02 seems not be able to be updated.
  • This setup was working well when I installed it on Mac 02 with Synology Drive. Index Files and Folders did run well.

  • Now it do not Update Items anymore but originally indexed files can be read and accessed. A little bit confusing

In DEVONthink, hold the Option key and select Help > Report Bug and make sure to reference this forum post. Thanks.

I did report bug as per your suggestion and support was very responsive. You were right, it’s not a broken folder problem. It’s more related to the way I’ve configured the files and folders indexing feature into my stack. DEVONthink as very powerful capabilities. Thanks for your help and support.
