I want to use DEVONthink to help me study a set of courses that are available as mp3 lectures.
My ideal would be to be able to make slip box type notes that I can link together but also link back to specific places in an mp3 so that I can listen to just the relevant part of the lecture if I want to refer back to the source.

I’d suggest you look at the Inspectors > Annotations & Reminders section in the built-in Help and manual. You can use an annotation file and also create backlinks from the flyout.
Thank you so much. I had searched for ages with no luck but this works well for me and I tried on indexed files as well as imported and it works for either which is a real result for me.
