Indexing shared folder / multiple machines

Hi folks, so here is the issue that I am facing.

I have a GoogleDrive folder that I can access at ~/folder1 on my laptop. Devonthink on my laptop is indexing that folder.

The same GoogleDrive folder is accessed locally on my workstation at ~/folder2.

The two Devonthink instances are synced.

Questions:
i) does indexing of folder1 on machine 1 and syncing automatically make machine 2 try to index ~/folder1 (which doesn’t exist)
ii) should I set up indexing of folder2 on machine2?

Right now when I verify the database on machine2, I get a bunch of missing file notifications.

Best way to proceed?

Thanks,
RH

If the full path name is same on both machines should work. sounds like that not the case?

i do same with Dropbox folders.

No.

ii) should I set up indexing of folder2 on machine2?

No.
You should have the location of cloud-synced folders the same on both machines.

Thanks - will do!

You’re welcome.
