Although I’m using the ALT+COMMAND+DRAG for a file to place it in the sorter or drop it onto the inbox in the finder’s sidebar, it gets copied instead of indexed. Is this a bug or do I misunderstand something?
No bug; copy is what happens. To index, alt-cmd-drag to a group in an open database in DT. Yes, not intuitive. cmd-alt-drag to index in inbox and/or Sorter is a feature request.
Okay, but the helpfile states in the section “Sorter”:
Seems still to be broken in the current version of Pro Office. Sorter does never index.
