Invisible files in devonthink

Long time user of DEVONthink 4.1.1 on M1 MacBook Air running Sonoma 15.7.3. I have multiple databases containing more than 10 years of data

Yesterday afternoon it was running fine. Later, when returned to it, the sidebar was running fine. It showed, the databases, different folders, and listed how many files were in each folder. However, when one clicked on a folder, it displayed as empty. If a folder had subfolders, the subfolders displayed, showing the number of files in the subfolders, but clicking on the subfolders just showed empty. I was able to find at least 1 folder where the files displayed, and there may be more - but most of the files - DT knows they are there, but they are invisible

I submitted a bug, and support team is working on it. I thought I would ask the collective experience here about any ideas. Thanks for any help

Did you use a sidebar filter, see buttons at the bottom or Tools > Filters? Otherwise a screenshot would be useful.

There’s no issue with the databases. He has the Maps filter enabled.

I was not aware of the map filter, nor that I turned it on. Any articles??

Are you aware of the manual? It’s a great resource. You can access it directly from the application’s Help menu, or download it as a PDF or ePub:

On this topic, see the section Windows > Sidebar: Filters
