Is there a way to hide the new DEVONthink 3 menu bar item?

Try Preferences > Sorter > Set Appearance to None.

That should do it.

Thanks. I never thought of trying that because I thought the Appearance setting related to the Sorter itself. Maybe the DEVONthink folks could clarify that setting.

It does though. Setting the Appearance to None hides the Sorter. Setting it to Dock Tab figuratively hides the menubar item too.

Not when I did it. I set the Appearance option to None, and the menu bar item went away while the Sorter remains at the left side of my screen, where I’d previously replaced it.

Are you saying this is the current configuration?
If so, you have a bug or you’re mistaking v2’s Sorter for DT3’s.
