Issue with Clipper on sites requiring login

I attempted to use the DevonThinkPro clipper in Safari earlier today to clip an Amazon invoice. When I clipped it, however, it saved the Amazon login page, not the invoice. Similarly, I was looking at a page on a public court information database that requires a user to tick a box before accessing the information. The clipped page was the login screen, not the data I wanted to save. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,

Andy

This is a known issue and has been noted previously in the forum.

Sites that require login don’t automatically recognize a parallel access from the logged in user’s computer as permissible without login. Most of the captures made with Clip to DEVONthink initiate a new access, which is sent to the login page.

There are workarounds. A Web page can be captured as PDF by “printing” it and using that option.

In Safari, DEVONagent Pro or DEVONthink’s browser one can select all or a portion of a displayed HTML page and use Services to capture the selection as rich text or WebArchive.
