I’ve just upgraded to DT4 mainly for the new mobile app. I’ve been able to sync most of my databases, but I’m having an issue with my Global Inbox. It’s showing as ‘Merge’ in the Sync settings of DTG 4.x - there are 6 items on my desktop and 22 on my iPad. In other words it doesn’t seem to be syncing properly. It has been like that for two days.
Am I doing something wrong? How should I fix this? How do I deal with the ‘Merge’ description? I am syncing via CloudKit
I also started having problems with Global Inbox sync between my 2 iOS devices and the Mac. A first round of it was one or two weeks ago, likely on DTTG 4.0.4 / DT 4.2. The GI passed “verify and repair” locally on the Mac. But the CloudKit sync store gave the dreaded "Broken or not yet complete data structure of database “Global Inbox”. Items added to the DTTG GIs would not longer sync to the Mac. Sync store cleaning on the Mac side alone did not fix this. I eventually decided to simply delete the GIs on iOS and reload them from the Mac side. GIs in DTTG in principle offer “trash”, but the command does nothing. I forgot what I did, but eventually I got this to work again. Considered it a one-time glitch.
But yesterday this happened again (on 4.0.5 and 4.2.1 now, device OSs on latest versions). I ended up removing DTTG from iPad and iPhone, reinstalled, and re-synced. Before doing that, made sure that DT GI verified, same with GI sync store. After this, things were fine. Lo and behold, this morning "Broken or not yet complete data structure of database “Global Inbox” re-appeared again.
All other DBs have no issues whatsoever.
