keyboard shortcut for timestamps

Mac OS’s Services menu has an Insert item that allows one quickly add a timestamp to a note via keyboard shortcut. Command Shift 5 renders a long form timestamp while, Command Shift - (minus sign) gives the short version.

For example:

Tuesday, May 24, 2005 04:15:27 - Long version

5/24/05 04:16:16 - Short version
