Keyboard shortcut to duplicate and replicate

I use ctrl-cmd-M and ctrl-cmd-G for Move To and Go To. I especially like the Search Bar that pops up to locate the target folder.

Can we have similar keyboard shortcuts for Duplicate and Replicate? I’m aware of cmd-opt and cmd drag functionalities. But there are two drawbacks: 1) they require a pointing device, and 2) they require that the target folder be visible to drag onto. I’m requesting a keyboard-only method.

I’m aware of the context menu from which Replicate/Duplicate can be chosen. However, one has to find the folder by winding their way down the folder hierarchy. Very tedious. The functionality for ctrl-cmd-M\ and ctrl-cmd-M is infinitely better and worth mimicking for Duplicate/Replicate, IMO.

Data > Move To… supports duplicating/replicating, just press the Option or Command-Option modifier keys.

soooper! thanks.

omg this is so cool and saves me from some inconveniences

One use case for me personally is: when I read some document I put some text in Annotations. And in certain cases I want to have the (Annotation).rtf file replicated in same folder as the document I read. So now I can easily do: CMD+CTRL+OPT+O, and then CTR+CMD+M and modifier keys after.

Cheers
