I noticed that the bundled scripts carry a copyright statement, but don’t provide any information on what a user is allowed to do with them.
I would hope that users are allowed to create their own modified versions, and ideally also share them with others (like people are already doing here on the forums). But without an explicit license, this is legally quite questionable: the copyright notice explicitly claims: “All rights reserved”.
So I would welcome some clarification on the licensing terms for the scripts bundled with DEVONthink. And maybe in the future they could be updated to include an explicit license reference (maybe just use any of the various open source licenses)?
