Make Link grayed in RTF

DT 3.9.18 on OS 26.6.2

Make Link is grayed although RTF document.

What is going wrong?

Is the document locked? And what’s selected in the document?

Hi Christian. No it is not locked, and I just want to wikilink selected text.

Check to make sure you don’t have an app stealing input focus.

I’ve found that, if 1password is open on my Mac and waiting for secure input (my master password), I’m not able to add a link to a highlight word or words in DEVONthink.

I don’t use 1Password or any other programm (only apples Password). How do I check, it any other app is stealing input focus? Maybe keywordmaestro?

I figured it out on my own. Thanks for the tips, Chatoyer and Christian. Problem was: I first opened the document from DT in Nisus Writer Pro and then opened it in DT. There it was actually locked after all. Now I converted it to .txt and then back to .rtf and it works.

That settles it - as soon as DEVONthink detects a file saved or created by Nisus Writer, it becomes read-only (as Nisus Writer uses proprietary RTF extensions)
