It seems that the only things that are functioning in the markdown toolbar is Bold,Italic and Underline. Other things like bullets are not working. Why ?

Because those options aren’t enabled at this time.
Meaning it’s in the toolbar with the goal of having it work at a future time?
I can’t speak directly on behalf of Development but yes, that’s quite possible.
Right now it’s to make the Editing bar more consistent independent of the format of the document, in the future it will be supported ideally.
