Marking items read in Reading list leads to crash

When I attempt to mark an item as read in the reading list ( with the filter set to unread only) the following occur:

  • The “Mark as Read” text shown in blue when swiped to the right sometimes does not appear
  • After marking 1-4 items as read, the app crashes

IPhone 12 Mini, iOS 15.4

Further information:
The reading list is currently being populated via a smart rule that transfers new, un-read items from an RSS Feed group. The database is then synced via Bonjour,
