Hello, I have just started to use DEVONthink. I am a previous Paperless user. The Metadata Pane is very very important to me. When I scan a document in, I use the info in the Generic pane but also use the next one titled “Data” to have a Category, subcategory, How paid, amount, and notes fields. Is there a way where I can create just 1 pane to include the info in the Generic pane and the Data pane (where I created the categories I need)? This would help me not having to click on the Generic Pane for some info then the “data pane with customized metadata” for the other info I need. Also - on other dicussions I have read on migrating from Paperless to DEVONthink it appears that I can drag and drop Pdf’s but I pretty much lose all of the metadata I had input in Paperless - again like Category, Subcategory, Amount Paid, Notes. Is this correct or is there away that metadata can be carried over? Thank you.
No, you can’t combine inspectors.
You can open the Info popover via Tools > Get Info and tear it off by pulling at the triangle to float it. Then you could view both the floating and docked inspectors at the same time.

That would be an issue of Paperless, not DEVONthink. Did you read this…
Thank you Bullfrog!
I didn’t know you could “tear off” the info popover - but I see now that I can - that helps a lot. That helps, and thank you for pointing me to the discussion on moving from Mariner Paperless to DEVONthink - I will try that.
You’re welcome!
