Move tagged note to another folder removes the tag in 4.1?

Hi all,

I was excited with 4.1 update, thanks to Devon teams for effort.

However I have a problem I think, and maybe it’s some new behaviour I’m not aware of.

  1. So I have tagged note.
  2. Then I do Move (Ctrl+Cmd+M) to some other folder (group) - note is being moved but tag is removed. This was not case before.
  3. I think, not sure, during 2. a replica is being created ?

Is this a feature of 4.1 or ?

this it seems happens if you execute the move operation from tag view, meaning in Navigation Pane if particular tag is selected, and then on some note you execute “move to” it will:

  1. remove the tag

  2. replicate the note to destination group

  3. keep the note in the original group

This is correct and identical to version 2.x & 3.x. You’re basically moving an instance from the Tags group (the ordinary tag) and thus converting it to a replicant.

Probably this is the first time I used it that way (create new note in the tag group and then move it to another non-tag group).

My logic was that “Move” applies to groups and not tags .. in my logic tags should be universal in a way, persist wherever you move the files… But I understand what you say , I learned something new.
