Moving database to another mac

due to the limit of free space of my macbook pro, i moved all the databases to an external disk so i can use it to other mac.
when double click to open the database in the new mac, DT displayed an orphaned files folder with almost all items i have in the former mac in it.
how to make those orphaned files visible in the new location ?

Welcome @lihatlah

How did you move the databases to the external drive?

How did you move the databases to the external drive?

  1. just copying from finder all my databases in the folder database
  2. after that i copied those from external disk to the new location on my other mac.

Hunch: As you say you had limited space on your MacBook Pro, by chance did you have “Optimise Mac Storage” on? If yes, then may not all the files making up the DEVONthink database “package” were local to the disk and not properly copied to the external disk.

Same thing on the new Mac to which you copied files from the external disk. “Optimise Mac Storage” should be “off”.
