Okay - patience please a newbie question (hopefully this averts the flames)
I’ve downloaded DEVONnote, read the material, closed the “Getting Started” document/database - er… now how do I create a new database of my own from scratch?
May I make a password protected page? How about a password protected, separate database
Thanks

DEVONnote only uses one central database. So, simply open DEVONnote again, delete all files you don’t need, and fill it with whatever you want to keep in your database. Like other similar applications, DEVONnote notes not allow you to use multiple databases. This is where DEVONthink Pro comes in
ah - that makes perfect sense and thank you for the prompt reply.
May I make a page password protected ?

Kit, you cannot password-protect a single page. Without some tricky additional programming, the built-in artificial intelligence might provide cues to someone about the content of an encrypted page, so that would be self-defeating.
You can password-protect the entire database. See File > Database Properties. But please don’t forget your password.
