When OCRing a document which has a “Comment” placed via Acrobat it fails to OCR with no indication of error. Just says “Can’t Process Document for OCR after two tries”.
May be an issue with OCR engine though.

Does it display in Preview? That’s a good preliminary indicator to check if you can send it through OCR. Other than that, it’s probable that the OCR engine can’t read the file. Unfortunately, it doesn’t return good error messages for us, so we try it 2 times and if it still fails you see that message.

Yes, displays in preview just fine and shows the little yellow post-it note in preview. Even when I deleted the note I still don’t think it OCR’d. I’d be happy to share the original file with you off list so you can replicate.
