OCR quality settings not used or incorrectly saved?

Hey there,

I just upgraded to DTTG4 (as well as DT4) and I am very happy to see a scan feature in DTTG4, especially the quality option that I hope could let me reduce file size while retaining enough quality for OCR to work.

Unfortunately, it looks like the settings are not used and incorrectly saved: whatever number I chose, the file size keeps the same when I scan something, for instance a book cover or a medicine prescription. I manage to reduce the size once but cannot anymore since.

And when I come back to the settings page, the slider is set to the max while the max number is my targeted setting which is confusing, thus I am not sure they DTTG uses this option.

It’s a bug and I have filed an issue on it.

Alright,

Thank you very much @BLUEFROG.

You’re welcome.

I am still having some issue on DTTG: the slider now saves correctly its position, however the effect seems to be limited, maybe void. While on DEVONthink on desktop, when playing with the DPI option, I can reduce a PDF size largely (from 3 MB to 800-900 kB), on DTTG, I am not even sure that setting 30% or 100% changes anything on the file size.

Am I missing something?
