OCR Stuck on "Adding Document" or "Loading Document"

I am using DevonThink 3.9.4. I am on MacOS Sonoma 14.1.2 (23B92).

Yesterday, OCR had been working fast and fine. As of today, when I load a .pdf to OCR into DevonThink and OCR “to searchable PDF” it either gets stuck “Adding Document” or “Loading Document” for a very, very long time. In fact, sometimes DT3 freezes when I request the OCR. My pdfs are not that large. One pdf is around 16 mb. But, this extreme delay even happened on a small pdf less than 1 mb. I’ve worked with much larger pdfs in the past and it did not take this long to load the document and process OCR.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thanks for the report but this is not the best place to report these kinds of things.

In DEVONthink, hold the Option key and choose Help > Report bug to start a support ticket.
