If I do not use my laptop for a few weeks and then take it with me to travel, it can take a while to get its sync up to date with my databases. If I go to an office or hotel with slow internet then it may not be usable for some time. If my staff uploads documents to my database which I do not need immediately, that then slows down my use of DT3 if I am on a slow connection out of town.
In this situation, the iPad or iPhone can access the info quicker since they can be configured to download only the metadata and then access full files on-demand.
Would you consider an on-demand download option for DT3 similar to DTTG?
