One Annotation Per Document

I saw this discussion from a few years ago (now closed):

I was unaware of this limitation and lost an existing detailed Annotation when I chose to “Summarize Via Chat” on the document. DT replaced my detailed Annotation with a new summary.

Is there some way to retrieve my previous Annotation? Via the new versioning capabilities or otherwise?

Did you use the menu item Edit > Summarize via Chat… or the command Insert Summary via Chat… in the Annotations & Reminder inspector? The first one replaces the annotation with the summary, the second one inserts the summary.
