Option to hide PhotoStickies from Dock

Hi, it’d be great to have an option to hide PhotoStickies from the Dock but leave it open – can then access it by opening the app again. Could also add a hotkey if desired or have it available in the menu bar (though I personally wouldn’t want it in menu bar either as I try to reserve Dock and Menu Bar apps for things I use often, where PhotoStickies is great in that I can set it and forget it)

Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion, the next maintenance release will fix the option to run it as a menu extra but there are no plans currently to hide it both from the Dock and the menu bar.

I’ve been able to remove it from the Dock by modifying the Info.plist, setting LSUIElement to true, and re-codesign’ing the app, though it’s now in the Menu Bar (which is better than the Dock for me at least).

Though it would be nice to disable the Menu Bar as well and to just use a hotkey to gain access in a future build. It would be fine to be in the Dock when a visible window (besides a stickie) is open. Another tool I use called Pika behaves like this where it can be fully hidden until a hotkey or the application is re-opened.

Thanks

I hope you are aware this is unsupported behavior and that you’re not habitually modifying application resources in this (or a similar) manner.
