Is there any way to directly Capture a Page from outside DEVONthink without having to create a New Link, then Capture, followed by deleting the link? For example I’d like to start with a text url or internet location file and directly capture the page to my database without having to bring DEVONthink to the front.

You might have a look at the scripts for Safari (by default installed via Help > Install Add-ons and accessible via the global script menu extra) or other browsers.
