I am constantly using DTTG as source and target over the Files App to access content from / for / with other Apps.

No problem, that’s what we are here for. So, like on Windows, the best first step after panicking is a device restart. If it still doesn’t work, feel free to panic

Sidenote and completely offtopic: security wise it’s also best to reboot you device once in a while.
Although iOS devices aren’t very prone to malware in comparison to many other devices, malware does exist and rebooting likely enhances the chance of clearing it from memory.
The question of course then becomes what frequency is often enough. I guess that’s for everybody to decide, ranging from never or only when updating to very frequent reboots perhaps. And of course buying a new iOS device every day and throwing out shredding the old one is even better, but I assume most people wouldn’t want to go that far

We advocate rebooting devices - Mac and mobile - at least weekly.
