Partial Restore from Arq or Time Machine

Suppose I use Arq backup to the Cloud or Time Machine for backup to a local external hard drive.

If I need to restore a specific file or specific set of files, is it possible to do that or do I need to restore the entire .dtBase2 package? If I restore the entire package, is there a problem if I open both the production database and the restored database simultaneously?

You will get a duplicate UUID warning if you open both and sync will be disabled for the database. You could then do what you need to do, close the restored database, then re-enable syncing.
