Paste as new markdown item

Hello!

Idea for a new setting: I would love to have a preference setting which defines the behaviour of paste-as-new-item for text from the clipboard: rtf, markdown, txt, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion! One alternative is already to use the dedicated services (e.g. Take Rich Note) instead of copying and then pasting. Another one would be AppleScript.

You might find that the third party app PopClip will allow you to do as you want. It has a long list of extensions which manipulate selected items for inserting/executing elsewhere. I use it all the time. It is a terrific app.
