Hey Folks,

What path do I move files to in macOS so they show up in the Devonthink inbox?

You can’t. Drag files onto the Inbox item in Finder’s sidebar to import them.

Not quite true, Pete; the Inbox item in the Finder’s sidebar links to

~/Library/Application Support/DEVONthink 3/Inbox

and you can drop or redirect files directly to that path.

You can do quite a lot here depending on the tools you have available. For example you can use Hazel to automate the process or workflows devised in things like Alfred and Keyboard Maestro. Do not forget the built-in Folder Actions for DEVONthink. You can set this up to suit, … the options are;

    1. DT - Import-OCR-Delete
    2. DT - Import and Delete
    3. DT - Index
    4. DT - Index To Selected Group
    5. DT - Import

Presumably you are not married, otherwise you would be aware that you can cower corrected :face_with_spiral_eyes:

It refers being in the presence of an authority figure, headmaster, judge, etc, someone for whom standing is a sign of respect. :slight_smile:
