I had existing files in a database that were image only PDFs. I converted to searchable PDF within DT. OCR settings: 300dpi, image quality 75%. I think the originals had dpi of 300 or greater.
The resulting files were about 8 times larger. Is there a way to control final file size?
Also, the replacement file after OCR loses its association with replicants, leaving the new file and the old file, with all other replicants associated with the old file. It would make sense to link all replicants to the new file and move the old file to the trash or discard.
