PDF search results shouldn't jump to X, only Y

A minor but frequent annoyance for me— when I click to on an occurrence of a PDF search result, it jumps not only to the line (Y-axis), it also jumps to the word/phrase (X-axis), which prevents seeing the occurrence in context. I understand this might be desirable for some, so maybe it could be an option to toggle on/off?

The scrolling is controlled by the PDFkit framework but I’ve never experienced anything like that. Which version of macOS do you use? Any chance you could send the document plus the search term and a screenshot of Settings > Files > Multimedia to cgrunenberg - at - devon-technologies.com? Thanks in advance!
