What are the differences in using the 2 tools? Is one more powerful than the other or why can I choose?
As far as I know is one (pdf2text) simply converting to plain text (i.e. no formatting available in rtf), whereas textlightning will produce an rtf file, that supposedly resembles the original layout of the pdf (minus any pictures, that is).
Since Textlightning won’t deliever the pictures and it has to be paid for I shall wait for OS X Panther and see whether those fully searchable and markble pdfs will make my life easier.
