PhotoStickies: How to hide the dock icon?

How do I get rid of the dock icon in Photostickies? I really love this program, but I don’t want it taking up space in my dock.

As Panther caches some application specific values, OS X 10.3 should recognize the "Run as menu extra" option after logging out and in again. If this should not work, then try this:

  1. Turn the "Run as menu extra" option on
  2. Quit PhotoStickies
  3. Create a copy of the PhotoStickies application
  4. Remove the original application and rename the copy to "PhotoStickies"
  5. Launch PhotoStickies

Version 5.1 (coming soon) will bypass the OS X cache and therefore the menu extra option should always immediately work.
