Preview document instead of Source as default for markdown

All my markdown files are suddenly displayed as Source instead of Preview, could be since updated to v3.9.8 or MacOS 15.1? How to set Preview as document display default for all markdown documents? Running on MacOS Sequoia Version 15.1
