Problem importing notes in vCards from Apple Contacts

Hi

I keep a database of vCards imported from the Apple Contacts app on my Mac. This is a backup really, I do this usually before I sit down and have a purge of contacts. So this evening I imported all the contacts as vCards and I have discovered that none of the notes is included, the note field is just empty in the vCard in DT.

I know that it used to work because I have the ones I did the last time, in 2020 actually and all the notes are present in those.

I do keep a lot of useful info about each contact in the notes so I do want to have this.

If I import them as a sheet, then the notes are present. However I prefer them as vCards.

I have DT 3.9.14 and my Mac has OS 15.6.1

I tried exporting a single card from Contacts and then importing it in DT3. In that case, the note was preserved. That might offer a workaround until the issue is fixed.

Things change over time, as that’s a major version of DEVONthink and four (almost five) operating systems ago now.

Development would have to assess this.

DEVONthink just imports the vCards (returned by macOS’ frameworks) without any modification.
