I love the progress indicator – I’m relying on it to get a good sense of how my AppleScript attachments Separator is going.
I noticed, however, that the blue progress bar stops before the right hand side, I think at the left hand edge of an invisible square that the ×
is centred on?
If too long, text content in progress indicator rows without an ×
is truncated at the same vertical “boundary”.
Would it be possible to visually indicate this boundary?
Visually, it helps gauge just how far the blue bar is going to go (as many pixels right from that boundary as there are from the left hand progress bar/window boundary):
Maybe a bit less subtle than that, I just used the progress indicator panel boundary shade for that one.
However, much darker (such as this mockup with similar design to the “three-bar width adjuster” at bottom right of the sidebar), and then it’s hard to see what to do with the lowest extent of the vertical line without a horizontal border above the lowest icons:
Given everything I’ve seen in DEVONthink’s (super-)feature-rich interface which conveys a lot of information, I definitely have total faith in the developers to figure out the implementation details…if there’s an implementation to be detailed, that is
Side note: even now, just skimming through the manual to see if there was an official label for the width adjuster, I was reminded of just how feature-rich DEVONthink is, and just how much I have to learn when I get off my attachment to detaching e-mail attachments.
