Question about the background color of RTF-texts in DT4

I’m brand new to DEVONthink and am currently testing the demo version (DT4).

I really like the program so far. But how can I set the background of RTF texts to white even though my Mac (M2-Tahoe) is running in dark mode?

I’ve already tried manually setting the text and background color in my RTF documents. But strangely enough, this works with all colors except (!) white.

As soon as I set white as the background color, the background immediately turns black with white text.

Unfortunately, I can’t use this color combination for my purposes. I often have to proofread long texts on the screen—and (for me) that only works with black text on a white background.

What else could I try to get this setting to work? Thank you very much for any tips and help.

Just disable Settings > General > Appearance > Use dark background for documents
