I’m sure this is a very silly question, but I pressed a combination of keys while I was testing some shortcuts, and the “recent databases” section in the sidebar has disappeared. I can still see “Open databases”. I’ve been unable to find something in the manual that fixes this, and some blind wandering around in the menu bar options hasn’t revealed a solution either. Does anyone know how to make it come back? (And bonus points if you also know what shortcut I pressed!)
[Just for clarity - I can still open closed databases, this only relates to the sidebar not showing recent databases.]
Either there are no recent databases (see File > Open Recent) anymore or all of them are opened already, in both cases the section is not shown in the sidebar to save space.
Ok so they’re not open, but I had noticed that the File > Open recent has been blank since this accident occurred. What next
I have opened all databases, closed them all, closed DT and restarted my Mac just in case. It didn’t fix the issue.
In System Settings > Menu Bar what is Recent documents, applications, and servers set to?
We have a winner! Although I have no idea why
It was on “none”, but setting it to a number has brought the “recent databases” field back! I would never have guessed that in a hundred years. MacOS shenanigans! Thank you!
