Removing URL trackers

I would like to automatically eliminate all trackers from URLs, specifically by removing everything after the “?” symbol, including the symbol itself.

I think using a smart rule would be effective, but I lack expertise in scripting. Could someone kindly assist me with this?

The stuff after the question mark often relates to parameters identifying what you want to access on the web server.

I suspect a general case tracker remover may not be practical, and then there’s the common issue of things like single pixel image references in the web page named in such a way as to identify the site visitor.

Hope you find a solution.

That’s the query string. Not necessarily related to tracking. A simple script can remove that.

@chrillek is correct on this. Having a ? in a URL does not necessarily indicate it’s tracking anything. In fact, some tracking URLs don’t have a ? at all.
