I’ve been using paid Scanner Pro by Readdle on my iPhone XR to scan receipts to PDF. Recently I found that even though Scanner Pro lists the PDFs created as “filename.pdf”, they are being imported into DT as “filename.pdf.pdf”.
How do I rename all files found in a folder as " *.pdf.pdf " to " *.pdf "?
I’m trying out TurboScan as a replacement app. It doesn’t seem to have that particular problem.
Are you syncing to DEVONthink on a Mac?
Yes, through DTTG and Dropbox. Current versions of everything.
There isn’t a built-in function in DEVONthink To Go but it’s likely you could run a Tools > Batch Process on the files in DEVONthink.
If you want to start a support ticket, compress a file and attach it to the ticket, we can take a look at it.
I’m not thinking a support ticket would help. I can’t even search for that string in DT. I’m manually exporting each file individually to the Desktop and I’ll change the extension there. It’s only one folder and one app.

Done. Once I had manually identified all of those documents, Finder renamed them all to $NAME.pdf and I’ve reimported them to DT.
