Repetitive notification about items being added and converted

I keep getting this message - it’s been for weeks now - on my iPhone, popping up in a small square overlay every few minutes while I’m using DTTG.

49 items added and converted

I use CloudKit sync mostly, mixed with a little Bonjour. The database sync is set to download everything fully. It always says 49 items, so I’m assuming it’s the same items each time triggering this.

Are there any ideas what may be causing this, or how to resolve it? It seems to be on the annoying rather than destructive end, which I’m very glad about.

This will be addressed in the next release Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Thanks Jim, always great to get such speedy replies and fixes here, and a remarkably reassuring team and platform to have thrown myself in with.

I have the same issue. In addition (I assume this is related) I have some web pages that I sent to DTTG via the share button from Safari, which are repeatedly being duplicated, so each of them now appears multiple tens of times. As a result, DTTG is so slow as to be unusable.

Assuming this is the same issue, is there anything I can do to get rid of the duplicates while waiting for the next version? (Manual deleting is too slow to be realistic.)

I have this, also: “17 items have been added and converted“, but on my iPad Pro, for example, this comes up every minute or so, with the “new” items appearing basically continuously as I watch.

This issue no longer happens on my iPhone, I just noticed to my delight, and I presume this is because of the most recent release, perhaps combined with my manually running the desktop script to remove the duplicates and then syncing.

(Thanks for that script — otherwise I’d have thousands of them by now! :joy:)

But the problem persists on my iPad Pro, despite desktop de-duplicating and then syncing while running the latest release.

I’m very much looking forward to any new fixes! (Currently running 3.8.3 (17443) on my M1 iPad Pro (17.5.1).)

Thanks.

Thanks for your patience and understanding while we are investigating this.
Have you emptied the database’s trash in DEVONthink To Go?

Yes — no apparent effect re this issue.

Anything else I can try? Shall I send my logs, or do you have enough of those?

We should good right now. Thanks!!

Well, it seems we could use more data if you could open a support ticket. Tap the ? > Contact Us on DEVONthink To Go’s home screen. Thanks!
