Replicating my Beer Review Workflow from Evernote

Hi all -

I finally have my DTG synced up with my regular OSX Devonthink and looking to use it as a complete replacement for Evernote for rating beers. The way I usually do this is by starting a new Evernote note, taking a photo of the beer, and then adding text above or below the photo.

As far as I can tell, DTG doesn’t quite let me combine a photo and text in one file. I can either take a photo, or start an RTF/Markdown text.

Also, does DTG let me start a new file from a template like regular DT does?

Correct, if you mean taking a photo and adding text in one move.
You can create a Formatted Note, click Edit post-creation, long-press to bring up the popup, and insert an image from your Camera Roll.

Also, does DTG let me start a new file from a template like regular DT does?

Not currently, though we are discussing potential options. (Remember: iOS ≠ macOS, so feature parity between the platforms requires extra development.)
